What's the best Wireless course and/or certification?

Is it best to stay with Cisco? or is a CWNA any good? does a CWNA cover Cisco's implementations?

Any other info would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

NettableWalker,

I did the CWNA course which is non vendor specific and this was superb, went into signal propergation, multipath etc which gave me a great understanding of wireless for site surveys and understanding RF... I cannot speak for the cisco`s version... but totally recommend CWNA.

Thanks Lee.

Did it give you enough to be able to set up a complete wireless LAN and integrate it securely with the existing network, complete with all the configurations / security methods etc?

Hi,

No the CWNA was purley RF... so it gave you enough information on how to properly do a site survey ( check for RF interference etc and work out where to place access points ) and to also setup and configure the wireless to an extent that you understand most of the configuration commands on the wireless kit and you can get an efficient functioning wireless lan. It also gave you basic security such as wap, eap etc.. however once you pass the CWNA you can take the CWSP which concentrates pureley on security.

I guess you have checked out
great site.
