I have a laptop set up to connect to a wireless network. The laptop connects to a router, then to a Verizon modem. I have had this network for working for over a year. Because of a recent problem with the modem, I messed with a lot of network settings on the laptop. Now the laptop no longer picks up my wireless router, and won't connect. I turned off the firewalls for now, I reinstalled the drivers for the wireless card, and I reset and opened the the router to the world. Still, no signal from the router. What else is there, that I need to check?

Thanks, Jeff

And if you connect wired to the router is anyone home?
Do other wireless clients have issues as well?

Please post an ipconfig /all result back to the forum. I fear you are not pulling a correct IP.

I have my work laptop with me now. It connects via the wireless network. With my home laptop (the one with the problems), I can connect through LAN.

I have the IP set to dynamically assign (as it has always been).

ipconfig /all gives the following:

Windows IP Configuration
Host Name: Josephine
Primary DNS Suffix: (blank)
Node Type: Unknown
IP Routing Enabled: No
WINS Proxy Enabled: No

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection
