I'm currently trying to set up a wireless bridge connection as a backup between two factory buildings. I'm using two Aironet 1310's. The buildings are already connected via Gig-E fiber, but we want to have the wireless in place in the event of a fiber-break, etc.
My question is, how do I configure the AP's and/or their associated switch connections to be used if and ONLY if the primary Gig-E goes down? I was told I could use the delay command to influence path selection, but I'm not sure where the best place to use the delay would be. Should it be on the AP's FastEthernet interface, or on the switch. Or does it even matter?
So has anyone out there set up something like this that could shed a little light on the subject? Any help is greatly appreciated!
