Wireless Access Point question

I currently have a Linksys 4 port 10/100 router/switch. Could a wireless access point be connected to one of the ports to provide wireless access on my network or do i need to buy a new wireless router?

An AP could be added as you described.

Check carefully though as often you can purchase a wireless router for the same or even cheaper price. You can then use the new wireless router in AP stype mode without replacing your current router.
