I have 2 outlying buildings that have only a few Pc's in them, maybe a total of 6. The two buildings are 300 and 500 feet away from the main building. We would like to run a wireless network out to them. Then we could bring them into the network without having to run a cable to them. Can anyone suggest an accesspoint hardware that also wouldn't cost much. we can't spend much money on it, (which is why an alternative to running the cable is preferable, since that may make it not happen),but it seems like it ought to be possible, using wireless if we can get past the distance. There are windows within sight of each other if that would cut down on wall interference, making it better.

You may be able to get 2 APs to work without help, but I doubt it.

You need to use access points capabile of accepting external antennas. Then pick up a couple of sector panel antennas and you're good to go.
