Hi everyone! I am using Corel 12 and I used the contour to put an extra ring around my work to use as a glow line. I see it in the wireframe mode but I cannot get it to show up on the print preview or to get the line to cut when I send it to the plotter. This is the first time I have had this happen. any suggestions?

Put a black/coloured hairline on it and make sure it is on a printable layer, and it will show.

Thanks, I will try and figur that out. I am fairly new with corel draw. I ectch glass and use this to make my patterns instead of hand drawing them. I sometimes have problems when I take a vector and add the glow line because sometimes it overlaps and I have to sut portions off. Any ways. Thanks again I am going to try and figure this out.

I think teminology may help here.
Cut = Sent to vinyl plotter or similar.
An outline is a bitmap line with thickness, it will print and show on screen but will not cut unless converted to object.
A contour is a vector and will cut, versions upto X3 created the contour as many straight lines and although ok if resized up and cut the curces were less than smooth. X3 produces beziers so the contour is smooth.
A plotter will cut all lines you see in wireframe, to avoid this overlapping shapes should be welded/trimmed - see options under Arrange - shaping.

I have a one idea.
If you want to sent your drawing to the cutting-plotter you must do the folowing

First select all you want to send to cut and hit Ctrl+Shift+Q
remove eny line you dont want.
Then try again to cut
If this dosen't work the just try to copy the drawing to a new file and send it to cut from there!

I hope it helps!
