Hi All, let's say I can't redeploy the OVA/ISO for a virtual MiCollab or MSL server. How would I get the server back to a default state and start again? Wondering if I could interrupt a restore process or enter some magic Linux command?

I think someone said that if you choose restore without doing it it clears the database

SSH or directly on the console, login as admin (or root and 'su admin')

Select 'Restore from backup'
Gives a warning, select 'Reboot now' (will lose data at this point)
Once rebooted, you will see some restore options (from running server / from network), select 'cancel'
You will now be asked "Do you want to restore from backup" (1st question you see on newly deployed MSL), select 'no'

You will now be asked "Choose administrator passsword"

* This process does not blank or reset everything
eg IP address, domain and default gateway are all retained
eg SSH is left enabled if it was previously enabled

MBG config is deleted though

I have not tried this on MiCollab. Only MBG.

Excellent, thank you both. I will try this method on the MBG and MiCollab and report back.

FYI this works for all MSL based products

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
