Hello, I am having a little trouble trying to make my portable (HP pavilion) connect to my new DLINK AirplusXtreme router.
Well, first of all let mem tell you that all the WEP, keys, etc are well configured because right now I AM writing this from my portable on wireless.
So, what's the problem? well, for the wireless connection to work I have to follow this steps every time I reboot turn off or diable the adapter:
1)Network connections
2)Properties on the wireless conn
3)Check "Use windows to configure wireless..."
4)Click ADD and manually add the network info including keys.
5)OK OK OK OK OK
6) Properties on the wireless conn
7) Uncheck "Use windows..."
8) Voila I get automatically connected.

If I miss any step, no network can be found, if I do anything with the connection after 5) except for 6 and 7, no network can be found...

Another thing. On 6, when I first come to the properties screen, there ARE NO preferred networks configured on the lit eventhough I had just configured one... it is all blank.

It is very strange, I have had configured wireless networks before but nothing like this happened to me...
any thought are very welcome.

Wireless adapter: Broadcom integrated chipset 801.11g
Router: DLINK DI-624

thanks a lot
