I'm runnign CE 8.0 (the free one) with 10 concurrent licenses. When ever I hit the web server from a WinXP Pro client, It max's out the licenses and denies service to everyone else (until a reboot). Its the only XP client in the office (so far).

Has anyone encountered this behavior? What did you do about it? CE 8.0 has SP1 applied and runs on Win2K pro SP3.

As always, your thoughts are appreciated.

Update,

It seems that any Windows OS (modern OS that is) that is running IE 6.X exhibits this behavior. Any ideas?

I am running XP SP3 with CE 8.5 and CE 9 on the same box and have not seen your error. What CE patches have you applied ? Rod Oatis

CE 8 standard has had SP1 applied (thats it so far). I have experienced this behavior with a WINXP Pro SP1 machine and A WIN2K SP3 machine both running IE 6.1. I have found NOTHING regarding this from CrystalDecisions support online.

CE 8 is running on a WIN2K SP3 machine. And it seems that all machines in the office running IE 5.5 can access the Intranet site just fine, but once someone hits it with IE 6.1 it maxes out all 10 licenses and denies service for everyone else until a reboot.

Don't know if this will help you or just confuse you even more, but I'm running CE8 (no service packs) on WIN2K SP3 and also running web reports from a XP Prof client using latest version IE6 with SP1 and I can run reports OK.
