winword error

when ever I try to open a Word document I receive the following error message.
Winword caused an invalid page fault in module winword.exe at 0157:301ceea6. I have tryed un-instaling and re-instaling office 97, but I continue to have the same problem

Are you opening a document created in a different version of Word? Have you loaded the office service packs 1 and 2?

Search - for normal.dot and rename it then restart.. it'll work fine afterwards.. promise
