I am trying to select a board using Standard SPM on a Legend r6.1. I need to reassign extensions.

When I select the type, enter the slot number all I get is a beep. I am connected to the system via *10 using Winspm r8.

Additionally, can I change the *10 password so it is no longer crafxxx? I have a technician that I need to lock out of a switch.

Thanks in advance.

Password can be changed with direct connect like you are doing. You don't "select a board" to enumber extensions, just renumber them with the renumber option off the main menu.

Pepperz,

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. So what is the 'boards' menu option actually used for?

If you set up the processor in surrogate mode to "emulate" a particular system, the boards option allows you to populate the slots with whatever you want. The idea is to create a custom software package for a given system and then store it onto the flash card, arrive on-site with the flash card, upload the translations, and the system is completely programmed in a few minutes. Using it on an existing system gives you the beeps.
