WinSPM monitor 3

Where can I find some information on WinSPM and the monitor? I would like to learn more about what can be done with the monitor and what can be monitored like DID digits and other cool things.

I tried asking Expanets and they said the information was proprietary and he could not give me any information on it.

I am hoping that someone has some documentation or can give me some ideas on what can be monitored. I know you can set things and you can mess up big time if you don’t know what you are doing.

Documation is practically non-existant. The best way to learn is just to play around with it. It does not affect programming it simply monitors activity. I can send you some basic info.

since I have gotten a few requests for this, I am working on a very basic cheat sheet for it. Be patient, as my wife is expecting any day now and that will keep things like this on the back burner for a bit.

I am compiling a cheat sheet as well. when everyone is done we should put them all together!

Heres one I know:


smdr on/off

enables smdr info to be viewed in real time in monitor mode.


helpful hint: if an asterik appears in the data that means the call was dropped on the far end. ( for customers complaining that they get dropped calls)


trace on sid: usually 3001-xxxx

shows all button presses on the set

trace on fid: usually 801-880

shows facility info on each trunk traced


turn traces off when done or you will slow down the switch if left running.
