Ok, either I'm an idiot, or something is f'ed up, or both... Here's the issue:

The machine I was running winSPM on was having some issues connecting to the network, which seemed to keep winSPM from working right for some reason. Don't ask me why, since I'm connecting over a modem. Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled winspm, and now I can not seem to get past the screen where you set up the password and site info. It's the screen that has like 4 or 5 steps, depending on which version it is, and the first one involves setting the screen resolution and turning off larg fonts and things like that. I do all the stuff, and then when I try to go to step 2, it says I have to do step one first.

ARRRGGHH!!!

Any ideas what is going on? Is there anyway to bypass this screen so I can just set up the stuff from the winSPM menus? Do I need to rebuilt the machine?

Thanks,

Pete

Open Explore and go under Program Files\Avay Solutions\WinSPM
and open WinSpm.ini file and Chang the following under Usage this will bypass the setup screen. (make all true)

[Usage]
DesktopSetupIsComplete=True
SomePasswordIsSet=True
AtLeastOneSiteIsSetup=True
TAPIConfigured=True
ConnectedAtLeastOnce=True

The problem with WinSpm and the network is ( IF you have the default printer set as a network printer and do not connect to the network WinSPM will give you errors and sometimes shuts it self down ). Suggest you make a local printer the default.
