WinSPM error - circuit pack not recognized 1

Our office is running a Merlin Magix 2.2 system. I normally do all of our programming through the WinSPM software. Recently WinSPM started giving me the following error: "WinSPM cannot recognize the circuit pack in slot xx. Quick Access will not be available unit this situation is resolved. Note: ATL circuit packs can only be used in MERLIN LEGEND systems."

It gives me this error for slots 7 through 17 (even though we are only using 8 slots). To troubleshoot the problem, I have removed components all the way down to the point of only having the main carrier (secondary carrier is disconnected) and the processor board installed. But I still get the same error messages.

Everything else seems to operate fine; we don't have any unusual problems with the phone system. Programming works fine from the console station and also through WinSPM (but only in the Standard SPM mode).

Anyone have any ideas on this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Sheldon

Try doing a "BOARD RENUMBER" then, if any PHANTOMS were put in there, they will be removed.

Just make sure no phantom ports in use on any phantom modules.

Excellent! Thanks for the advice. I just got done trying it - works perfect.

Thanks again.
Sheldon
