Hello all,
I'm having a problem keeping a consistent connection to a Magix 2.2 with WinSPM r9.
About 75% of the time I get a "buffer overflow" error after hitting "apply" when making changes. Then WinSPM spins it's wheels for a long while then eventually loses connection.

WinSPM set to 2400. I tried 1200 but it's too darn slow to do anything.

Standard SPM seems to be ok.

Distance isn't an issue, I'm sitting in front of the Magix with a direct connection to the admin port.

Connection:
D8W > 355A > db25 > usb > laptop running XP

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but SPM works fine.
I like Quick Access better because everything is right there in front of you and more changes can be done at once.

I think it's the PC card. I dialed in with an external modem and transferred to *10. I didn't get the "buffer overflow" message but was randomly disconnect every once in a while for no apparent reason.

I'm wondering if your PC is the culprit. "Buffer overflow" usually means it's getting Data much too fast to process.

I'd try a reboot, or look for other stuff that's running. (Task Manager)
