WINSPM CONNECTION PROBLEM 1

I'm trying to connect to a Magix R1 directly to the admin port from com1 with a 355a adaptor, with WINSPM rel4-ce and I'm running windows 2000. I set up the site and when I click connect I immediately get a message saying for me to check the connection and check that the com ports are configured correctly and to make sure there is a cable connected to the admin port. Nothing else happens but the error message? A liitle confused?

W2K is always a bit goofy. Do you have any sort of PDA? If you've ever connceted a pocket PC or Palm pilot you'll need to disable the software to connect to the admin port.

Also run through the wizard for configuring TAPI. It should ensure all of your settings are correct regardless of OS.
