Trying to get WinSPM Version 9.0 to work on a Windows 7 32 bit machine. Was able to install and run as Administrator with XP mode enabled. Program comes up and everything appears to be OK. When I go to dialup a site for access I get an error message back that the program is "Unable to connect to TAPI device". Any ideas? Can connect to the modem from other programs without issue.

WinSPM on Windows 7 has been flakey for me I gave up uusing it and went back to an old XP machine. You might be able to get it to work in compatability mode.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*
*(Disclaimer for all advise given)--'Version Dependent'

WINSPM worked well with Windows 7 back when. Changing to XP Compatibility should work. However, perhaps something changed on Windows 7 over the years since I moved on to Windows 10.

I have an antique Windows XP that still runs it just fine.

I'd try XP Compatibility.

the error message is consistent with wrong tapi port settings.
