WINSPM 9 & IP/Serial Connection

Have read most of the older posts about attempts to connect to Legend/Magix switches using a RS232 to IP converter and know some have been successful. Don't want to use Socket Magix and bought an Enet Serial/IP converter. Have it configured and connected properly in our test lab on our PC and Magix CKE5 to the admin port and when I try to setup WINSPM for IP connection - a window pops up saying we HAVE to use Socket Magix.

Has anyone else run into this trying to setup your RS232/IP converter in WINSPM?

I have not tried Digi One SP with Magic/Legend but I had it worked fine with FastRad on 2 Norstar MICS.

Can you tell me if you could use NRU with the networked Norstars?

I can see how the RAD end should be programmed but I don't understand how the management end (my pc) should work. A direct connection setting in NRU has no addressing. I have 100 Norstars and this could save a fortune in POTS.
