Hi there,

I'm having a problem: i want to use a winsock control to connect to some other users trough the internet, works fine on a bunch of pc's but there's one user who has a LAN network himself. Now when searching for the internet-connection the winsock control comes up with the ip adress from the lan-network, not the adress I need which enables the internet connection.

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Sounds like there is probably a firewall and/or NATting involved. We'd probably need a bunch more information about the infrastructure before being able to make any useful suggestions.

the concept is simple: the pc involved is connected to the internet trough one network card, and the other pc's are able to access the internet as well, by means of internet sharing and a second network card in the pc that is connected directly. the program resides on the pc that is directly connected, and is only needed there, now the problem is that when i use a winsock control by default it returns the .localip from the network card used by the local network.
