Winsock and routers

I keep receiving lots of ASCII chr 07 (BEL) when I establish a Winsock connection to a Cisco router via TCP-IP and winsock. Cisco says this is not their problem, but it is annoying because I cannot successuflly use the .SendData method until I have received all the stupid 07's. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of problem?

Okay, it was my fault... I sent too many spaces to the router. It filled the buffer and sent back bell(x07).
