We have a single NT domain with 2 subnets connected over a VPN. At one point in time, I was able to view all the computer names from both subnets through Network Neighborhood, but have lost that ability.

I can search, find, and access shares on any of the computers on either subnet from either location, but would like to be able to see them in the Entire domain list.

All the machines are configured to use a single WINS server that resides on one of the subnets. The WINS server doesn't have any extra protocols running other then TCP/IP and AppleTalk.

Any ideas on what I might have broken? =D

Did you check you log files? What changed?
What can you see? A little more info would help. Good luck.

Got it fixed for now :) The master browser on one of the subnets was a linux firewall that for some reason wasn't collating the computer names.

Once that service was killed one of the NT boxes on that subnet jumped up to master browser. It wasn't the machine I would prefer, so I killed the computer browser service and watched another machine fight for master browser status. I did this several times until the machine I preferred grabbed master browser status. A few minutes later, both subnets can see all the computers together =D.

I am going to get a BDC on that subnet ASAP and make it the master which should fix the problem for a good while.
