I have a proplem whereby a user is being told his password is incorrect even though, his password is correct and enabled. I can ping the machine from the DHCP server and we have tried logging on as another user (with the same outcome).
I looked in the WINS manager on the server (NT4 6a) and the users name and IP address is Tombstoned. Could this be relevant? Any suggestions on something else I could try? This isn't effecting the whole network, it appears to be around 8 of 40 machines.

Any info greatly received.
Mark.

A likely solution would be to remove the computer from the domain, delete it's account in server manager, and then have it rejoin the domain. This doesn't address the how's or why's of the problem but I have a feeling it would fix the immediate issue.
