Hi,

I am running a WINS environment consisting of a primary and secondary server, in a site that has approximately 500 machines.
My primary (WINS), is an NT4 (SP6a) box, configured as a member server.
My secondary (WINS), is also an NT4 (SP6a) box, that also acts as my PDC.
I realise that the secondary, is contrary to MS recommendations, however funds dictate that it is the machine for the task.
The problem that I am experiencing, is that the service on the secondary, is constantly dying and corrupting the database in the process.
This makes it impossible to start the service again as the backed up database is also corrupted.
This is causing recurring problems for our email/inet, as we have to route across a GWAN link to get to the services for same.
If anyone has any ideas about this please let me know.

Look forward to hearing from you...
