Hi..I've been battling this problem for awhile now and
was hoping someone might be able to help.

I'm trying to setup WINS replication between two Windows
2000 DCs. For some reason, I just can't seem to get the
two to exchange information. I have set up Push/Pull
replication partners on both servers, each server
pointing to the other (i.e. Server A has Server B setup
as a replication partner and vice versa). I click on
Replicate now on either server and it says the request
has been queued but nothing is updated. There are no
errors in the event log.

Am I missing something here? I have followed Microsoft's
white papers on configuring replication and it seems
pretty straightforward. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt L.

Is one WINS set to PUSH to the other?

Is one of the WINS servers set as the Primary?

In addition, the WINS server needs to have the IP address for the Primary listed first, then the address of the Secondary WINS server, otherwise they will not know where to start looking. (In other words, on the primary WINS server, MAKE SURE IT POINTS TO ITSELF in its TCP/IP properties, or it will not know where to go to look. (remember, these are DUMB machines!)

Check these IP entries out first.

HTH
