WINS on a domain controller fails periodically

My WINS environment consists of 3 WINS servers, 1 Primary on a member server, and 2 secondarys (1 on a BDC, and 1 on a PDC).
The service on my PDC, dies periodically (approx every month), and the database has to be deleted to restart the service.
All my servers are running NT4.0 SP6a.
If anybody has any ideas on this, I would appreciate the feedback.

Have you tried uninstalling WINS completely, then doing a fresh install of WINS?
