Hi,
I am running a windows nt 4 domain with many bdcs across each site.
each bdc is running a wins server
recently we migrated the ip's of some of the sites to a different range.
and then the trouble started, I do not know why wins resolves some of the computer names to the old addresses.
all the bdcs are configured to replicate to the wins DB in the pdc.
The problem is exactly this:
there is office A, Office B and office C
Office A has the PDC/Wins, office B and C have BDC/Wins, we changed the IP's on offices B and C. Now when I ping server SX in office B from office A, it gives me the old address, if I ping from office C to office B it gives me back the wrong address too.
And here comes the weird issue, if I ping server SX from the wins server in office B it gives me back the right address...
What's going on? Replication is working fine, all other boxes did refresh their addresses accordingly
Please help, I'm banging my head against a wall...
