WINS EventLog error

Hi,

I have many errors WINS error in my EventLog server:

"WINS could not read from the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) socket." - ID 4204

I already stop/start the service.

I don't see any reference on Microsoft support web site for Windows 2000

Any ideas ?

Stop wins, delete the jet.log file and restart wins.

See if this helps.

Also sounds like a replication error for wins, are you using push/pull from another wins server? Do you have any firewalls on the server that is blocking port 1512 TCP and UDP which is required for WINS. Chris Styles

I have a replication with 1 wins server on nt4 from another domain (Trust are working)

I don't have firewall on servers.
