Winroute firewall major problem

Kerio winroute firewall version 5.1.7
nat enabled with 9 clients, 3 of them have kazaa access.
on windows 2000 server sp4
I face these problems:

- The first is that some times it crashes and the following message is appeared on the error log:
"[14/Dec/2003 14:25:37] (1003:5) Internal error: Unknown error occurred."

- The second is that when the users use p2p applications even though they use only a small part of the bandwidth the internet speed is dramaticly reduced for all the other users (so slow that the cannot connect some times).

the first problem i have no idea what is causing that, but for the second problem i would suggest you check how much upload bandwidth the p2p clients are giving. Because if the upload bandwidth becomes saturated, the download will be very poor, simply due to the fact that clients cannot send their requests for information out. good luck!

About your crash problem: I encountered the same error , AFTER i cracked the exe file with the crack that is available for unlimited use.
My solution: get 5.1.8 from kazaa, with crack. That one works fine.

I've got a problem with KWF 5.1.9 with a proxy. When I connect from my machine using Opera then everything goes fine. But when the other user tries to surf KWF crashes with such a message:
[24/Jan/2004 13:27:35] (4302:10038) Socket error: Select failed, stopping HTTP proxy, crash.
Proxy port is 3128 and is not used by another application. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Kirr, I have always had problems with kerio's built in NON-transparent Proxy. For some reason the TTL still doesnt work properly, i always get outdates pages. I just don't use it. Winroute firewall has a fine full transparent proxy, and all web traffic is logged too. Just use the winroute machine's IP as the default gateway. Works perfectly.
