WINMGMT.exe shuts down

I keep getting the error that winmgmt.exe is shutting down and is generating a report log .
I look in event viewer and I see "windows management instrumentation service shut down. Does' anybody know where I should start to trouble shoot this one?

Have you tried reinstalling internet explorer or repairing.
Try to repair it first. Sounds like you got a bad plugin.
What are you doing when you get his error?

I downloaded interent explorer 6 but I think I amgoing to have to reinstall windows . It took some updates and now I get blue screen of death. Unfortunatly the automatic windows update ran so I am not sure which ones that it and it appears that some drivers were involved.

So we don't know if it was the reload of IE6 or an update that is giving you BSOD. Lets try going to safe mode and see if you can repair IE 6. go to my computer, control panel, add/remove programs, click on IE, it will give you a menu, select repair.
