WinMgmt.exe has generated errors!

WinMgmt.exe has generated erros and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program"

Im getting this on a win2000 pro box about every 30 seconds.
It will happen when there is no other programs running aswell.

Will even happen right after a fresh boot.
I would rather not have to rebuild this box if I can get away with it.

Anyone have any clues?

Jeff Williams from the Web suggested:

go to:

C:\WINNT\system32\wbem\Repository

in there you will find a file named:

$WinMgmt.CFG$

DELETE IT... trust me... or if you don't, rename it to $WinMgmt.CFG.OLD or something...

SHUT DOWN... and Power Back Up again... when you log back in it will give you the same message once... wait till the OK button appears (this should restart WinMgmt.exe)...
CLICK OK... and you should be good to go...

if for some reaspon WinMgmt.exe doesn't automatically start you can double-click it at:

C:\WINNT\system32\wbem\winmgmt.exe
