Hi dears

This is another different kind of problem i am facing.

I have around 7 user ids created in my system. all of them log in to the system through network-IP. Some of them are in different countries too. Until last week, there was no problems like, anyone can log in and as many numbers of User Id can log in to the system at the same time. But since this week, only one user can log in to the system at a time. If one technician(User Id) is logged in to the system, all others who try to log in, will get "Port Closed/connection to host lost" message. And i checked with the those, no one did settings like restriction for one user at a time.

So what could be the problem?

send us ioddp; lidap; and ionpp; and tell us what ip addresses you are connecting to and we can help

best parnum

Sometimes it happens that telnet sessions are not released on the NIU. do RFBOI:BPOS=<position of NIU board>; and all session should work again. please post the revision of the NIU board with CNBIP:BPOS=<position of NIU board>;

Here is the details about NIU

Sorry daddy,

yes. the board has been restarted and all 5 telnet ports can log in simultaneously

after restarting the NIU board it is normal you lose connection to it when you issue the command from that board.

the CNBIP tells me you are running an OLD firmware. update to R10A and your problem will never return...

"There is no place like 127.0.0.1

Yes the problem is solved!

thanks a lot daddy

thanks parnum & drewmk for their usual support

Is it a NIU/1 or 2?
The old firmware CAA 1580001 is for NIU/1,
and the new CAA 1580021 is for NIU/2.

asuvp: you see that CAA 1580021/R2 is currently active on the board. concerning the NIU firmwares, they are not that different, the /1 firmware contains the scsi interface block whereas the /2 firmware has the ATA interface block, the rest of the firmware is equal...
