When I am useing WinFIOL garbage caracters apear on the screen and mess up the comands. Any solutions? Is this a configuration problem?

Hi.
It all depends on how you are connecting, Via a modem/tracker it would be worth trying to drop your connection speed down a notch. Also if you are connecting via a tracker it could be a sign that the tracker needs resetting.
It would also be worth checking you data/stop bit set up.
I use the following setting to dial out using a modem.
Baud rate 9600
Flow control None
Parity none
Data Bits 8
stop bits 1
dtr and rts enabled but CTS disabled.
