I recently installed Zone Alarm Pro on my Windows XP pc at home. In a very short time I started getting notices that winfat32.exe was trying to access the internet. As a rule I did not let it out, but was wondering if it may have a valid reason for going onto the internet. When I searched the internet for information on winfat32.exe I found references to the ILOVEYOU virus, is there a chance that my pc has been infected? I have been running the beta version of Norton 2002 because it did not appear that McAfee supports XP. Any information on what may be happening?

Kento,
Thanks for the info, is there any valid need for the file winfat32.exe or can it/should it be deleted?

It was created by the virus so it should be deleted. There are others you'll want to look for and delete so see that link I gave you if you haven't yet.

At one point I changed the extension to .doc and the I could actually read the file, if I wasn't in the middle of this it would be interesting! Thank you for your help.
