HI
I suggest you not to migrate 2.6 applications to WIN2000 platform. Though earlier I used to say it works fine.. by practical experience, I find the OS is stable but the application keeps failing. My Win98 FoxPro applications.. spread over 100s of clients .. majority multiuser applications.. get a corruption on an average below 1%.. or hardly 1 or 2 in a year in total (owing to very sudden power failures when the data base is on update. Such sturdy applications started failing every 15 days or even sooner in win2000 for slight user failures. In winMe they are stable as in win98.

Hope this expeience is well taken by you :) ramani :-9

Jorge,
A WinExec error of 11 is ERROR_BAD_FORMAT. It means "The .EXE file is invalid (non-Win32 .EXE or error in .EXE image)."

What does the code look like? What .EXE are you trying to fire up with WinExec?

Hi

Thank for your response.

i'm sending a "very normal" compiled aplication. I just
copy it from a floppy disk in a windows 2000 computer and
everything goes wrong. The same file was copied on a windows 98 computer and everything was OK.

I also tried a simple code to check the system date and
if is inside a defined dates It will runs the main process.

I would try to copy the file againg but the problem is i don't have windows 2000 in my office, so i have to go to
my clients office. This means it would take a while to
check what realy happend.

PD: I checked WINDOWS NT.4.0 SP.6 and everything runs ok.

Thank in advance, i'll keep you posted
