I.S. was kind enough to trash my workstation and we have just finished installing all the app's and everything back. This is my basic workstation info:

- Windows XP SP2
- ASUS Motherboard 3GHz
- 2Gb RAM
- Seagate SCSI drive
- NVIDIA Quadro4 980XGL
- Microsoft Intellimouse (USB)

Now I have a few flaky problems and hoping that someone can give me some direction :

There are some custom VB app's that a programmer wrote here that worked fine prior to the reinstall. What it does is searchs thru network paths for a file name you specify. You can stop the search by clicking a button and then click on the files to work with. When I click to stop the search occasionally (and the frequency of this happening does not seem to follow any logic) it will just give me the hourglass pointer for ten seconds when I click the stop button. After that it will work fine, even shutting down the application or shutting down the workstation and restarting doesn't mean it will hang. Then sometime later it will do it again. Doesn't follow any pattern we can find.

The other problem is that I can be in an IE window, or in Word, or Excel, or Inventor, or AutoCAD, or anything, just sitting there idle and not moving the mouse. And then the window will just jump or move a little bit. Like in Word or IE it will scroll a little bit. In AutoCAD or Inventor it will pan a little. Doesn't follow any convetion. In fact while I was typing this message actively in IE, I also have awindow open for Device Manager and while typing I saw that window just jog down a little and it's not even an active window.

ANY HELP????

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help my sanity!
