My problem is that every time i try to get to the Windows Update page, the browser freezes before the page even starts loading.
This is what happened.
1)Went to windowsupdate...
2)Installed the new activex control
3)Was told I had to install updated installer
4)Was told I had to download bits
rebooted
now everytime I go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com it freezes.
For a little while I could go to it would scan the system I could download what I wanted but the install never happened... the progress meter just went forever...
The system is Windows 2000 Adv Svr SP4 with the SP4 rollup 1. (which I had to download manually and install under safemode because it would hang on the Inspecting Computer)
