Can anybody tell me the maximum partition size recognisable by Windows98 SE? I have a friend with a 120Gb hard disk, he's partitioned it into 4 equal sizes, but tells me that Windows98 will only see a total of about 90Gb.

Thanks for any info!

Biggest partition you can have on fat32 is c. 128GB - so that's biggest 98 can handle (so your friends 120Gbb disk should be ok - as one partition - no problem at all as several).

Note: there is a problem with 98's fdisk for partitions over 64GB - see here for fix (apparently format still reports wrong sizes even after this fix - but its just the reporting that's wrong, partitions should be correct size).
