I have trouble connecting to the internet using this feature (dial-up networking). I am aware that such a bug exist, but i still can not figure out how to circumvent this problem. I have to connect using my AOL connection other wise it wouldn't work. For example, if i try to use Outlook express. I can not connect to the internet. I need help.

Are you referring to dial up networking not remembering your password, so that each time you have to enter it? The check box for "save password" is greyed out or you check it but it doesn't save the password?
I had the same problem, and now mine works. Here is what I did.

In Windows 98, all I did was delete the file with the .pwd extension. When restarted Win98 rebuilds the password file. If it's Windows 95 you need to go to the Microsoft web site and get instructions from their knowledge base. Because Win95 doesn't automatically rebuild the the .pwd file and you need to download a program from Microsoft.

Also if you have Windows 98, run the system file checker under Accessories>System Tools>System Information. I found several corrupted files, and reloaded them, and then everything worked fine.

You may also have to completely remove Outlook Express and reinstall it.
I am not a technician, and I don't know if these are "proper" procedures, but I did them and they worked.

actually if that were the problem, you would not need to do any of that. Simply install Client For Microsoft Networks in Network Properties, but I don't think this is the problem.
