I am constantly getting a cannot find Citrix Server error from my Gateway Solo 9300 laptop when I log into my citrix server. I have watched the connection being made in the Citrix server administration tool on another pc while logging on but in the middle of the logon process my laptop loses the connection and I get the error. All other network functionality on the laptop is fine. I have uninstalled the ica client, done a registry clean and reinstalled with the latest client but no luck. I can use terminal server client using an rdp connection and that works fine. Whats with the tcpip ica connection? Is there an issue with 2000? I have all the latest service packs installed.
Help

Check that the network settings on the laptop match those of the PC - particularly DNS and Gateway settings.

If all else fails, try entering the name of the Master Browser into the connection settings of Program Neighborhood. If that doesn't work, try using the IP address.

If the IP address works and the name doesn't, then there is an issue with name resolution - maybe the laptop's name isn't registered on the network; check its workgroup/domain setting.

ICA depends on TCP/IP and DNS to resolve names accross the network - if you're not getting anything in the browse list on the client, then this area is probably where the issue lies.

Hope this helps.

Network settings on the pc and the laptop match. I am able to attach to everything else on the network. The laptop does log in to the citrix box but drops the connection a few seconds after and the published app quits in the middle of its login page. All the other 95/98/NT4 pc's don't have this problem. Unfortunately I am the only one connecting via 2000. NIc ?

This could be something to do with your application and the compatibility scripts... what app is it your running? Is there a compatibility script required to make this app run ? Any further details would be appreciated.
