Hi,

Im trying to install VPN on a windows XP laptop so it can dial in to our work domain when shes at home.

We have 2 servers (1 for email which is exchange 2000 and one which is where all our files are saved)

So do i point the VPN connection im creating to our firewall IP Address? I tried this and it said 'verifying username and password' but then said it didnt reckonise it , i havent done anything on the servers so maybe i need to enable something , any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Ok,

Without knowing your set u exactly. I would point the VPN to the exchange server as this should already have a public ip (same as your MX ip). Make sure that RAS is allowed on the server, VPN connection active and that the user has dial in permissions.

I presume its win 2000 so try the steps in;

post back with a few things that you've checked. Stick a PC in the DMZ and see if you can get that connected.
