Windows XP upgrade

I am currently using Windows ME and want to upgrade to XP. Any opinions on doing an upgrade vs. format and complete install. Does one work better than the other?

You would be better off doing a fresh install of XP - but that's just my 2 cents. I have heard about many people having problems upgrading XP. Just make backups of what you want to keep on CDs before upgrading or fresh-install.

I upgraded to XP from 98se without any problems, but when I would try a clean install I had tons of problems.

I just recently made a ghost image of XP so I want have to mess with upgrading or the problems with clean install.

I had a lot of problems when I upgraded from 2K to XP Pro... they finally just took images of my favorites/settings, etc. and did a clean install - much better.:) BeckahC
