Windows XP Something is wrong here

Ok I have Windows XP Pro SP2, and today I had to do a complete Format reinstall. Now for some reason on this clean install everytime my screensaver comes on the hard drive goes nuts and when i take off the screensaver and imediatly go into the task manager i see the HelpSvc.exe is taking up 100% of my resources. It only happens when my screensaver comes on...

What can fix this?

Is it a third party non-Microsoft screensaver?

In the past some third party software such as MRU Blaster have caused problems with Microsoft's screensavers.

Check your machine in Safe Mode.

No, Windows is clean and all the Display settings are windows default.

I have found that if i turn off the windows screensaver, it still does it abter the computer goes idle.

My HDDLED goes crazy and i can hear the hard drive turning.

Since it is a completly clean install, everything is windows default

Run ChkDsk /r on your hard drive, either from the GUI or Recovery Console.

Did you have the same activity in Safe Mode?

Have you Internet Connection and Anti Virus software installed?

Stick in a Defrag and Disk Cleanup while your at it.

Ran the Chkdsk and defraged. It seems to have stopped since i ran Windows update, so maybe it was a pat problem of windows.
