I have XP Professional OS and I have an HP Deskjet 820cse installed. The PC slows to a crawl when the printer is printing. When the printing is finished everything is fine. When the printer was hooked up to a different computer running Win98 OS everything was fine. Win98 was running on a PC with 800Mhz and 128MB Ram. The Xp OS has 2.2Ghz with 256MB Ram. Why is the printing causing this problem? Is there a fix for it? HP says use the driver that came with the XP OS and I am using that one.
