Just a heads up related to windows XP service pack 2. After installing it on 2 workstations both would no longer run Macola. I didn't try to trouble shoot it - doing a system restore was faster.
Exact actually came out with a warning not to install SP2 about 2 weeks ago. SP2 was a pretty major release so they want to do some testing on this. Obviously, they need to as well.

I have clients who just love to put in the latest release/version/service pack of ANYTHING as soon as it comes out. It's my understanding that the service pack 2 problem affects the MS/SQL client i.e. some of my clients running Pervasive applied service pack 2 and have not had any problems. In either case, I'd avoid it until Exact give the go ahead.

Just curious - how does Exact 'come out' with these messages? I don't see anything as far as regular communication.....
Generally messages of these types are on the news pages of the reseller and/or end user portals. So if you do not check these regularly, you probably should.

Macola did send out a bulletin on xp-sp2 in the softwire of August 19. Are you set up on the customer portal & do you get these updates? If not, you should sign up to get the softwire delivered to your email.
No I currently do not get these emails. I recently changed the email setting on the customer portal so hopefully I get them now. I was setup on as a contact but not the primary, I assume only the primary was getting them.
