Windows XP reboots itself when accessing a cd-rom drive.. The install program from the cd comes up and then the computer just reboots itself. What should I do?

Check the event viewer, it's got to have some kind of error code in there.

Do other CD's work OK? audio?

Weak PSU? (the extra load when acessing the cdrom causing a voltage drop and a reboot)
Bad CDrom (partial internal short) abnormally high current demand.
Both of these can be elliminated if you have good replacements to swop out.
