I have tried almost everything to get my terminal services to start but I keep getting the following error message whenever I attempt to start the service.

"The Terminal Services service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."

This service is needed to allow remote users to connect to an XP Pro workstation. This may be a remote desktop issue; For some strange reason, I had enabled Remote Desktop by placing a check mark the enable box. Now, the check mark is greyed out and I am not able to remove the check mark. Hope this is not confusing... basically, I think if terminal services start as it is designed then I will be able enable Remote Desktop.
Anyone with any ideas... I have search high & low.
