Windows Xp Pro On Compaq DL360?

Is anyone here running XP Pro on their DL360. I need an extra computer to run some weather station software on and I have a G1 DL360 (Dual 933mhz processors and 2 gigs of ram) that I am not using and a new XP pro cd. Will it work.

There is no reason why it won't work, although you may have difficulties getting the required drivers to work with the server and XP as HP do not do specific downloads for XP.

You may have to mix and match the Windows 2000 drivers (if they work) with driver downloads from other sources.

I'm not sure SmartStart supports XP Pro for that server, and the highest version of SmartStart for the G1's is 5.5, I believe, so if you don't care about things like the HP RAID configuration utility, go for it.
