Hello

Gateway/MPC have been unable to help me.

In the device manager, I have multiple USB Root Hubs, something that may well be causing my computer to be confused. As a result, my external hard drive, blackberry, iPod, and the like are often (usually) not recognized. Uninstalling the drivers and restarting computers has not proven helpul.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

when you go into compmgmt.msc and look inside disk management, are they there?

Yes. I think that it might be a power issue that I can solve by buying a Belkin Battery Backup.

I don't understand how you could think it is a power issue?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Well, I have quite a few devices in my townhome connected to the same power source. I don't believe that I have an outdated or corrupt driver. I'm just doing POE.

This looks at Power consumption of USB.
