Windows XP PRO and mapped network Drives

Every once and awhile my clients will startup there laptops,all have Windows XP PRo SP1a,,we are in a 2000 environment Tcp/IP protocol,,everyone is using DHCP when they login for some reason they get mapped to there network drives ,,but they are X out but once you reboot the drives are back ,,
 
In a Workgroup, it can be a case of the need for altnerate credentials:
In general, it is because of the asynchronous processing of the logon, which can be changed for the Windows XP clients. See the last paragraph of: faq779-4017
