Windows XP/Palm hotsync USB troubles

It works correctly on my Windows 98 PC.

I just bought a new computer. It has Windows XP home on it. I have my Palm cradle connected in through the USB. When I hotsync the Palm and the PC never connect.

Anyone have any idea on how to get them syncing?
